Our saddle artists carry on this tradition, and will work with you – one-on-one – to determine your overall design objectives, render the design in exacting detail, and once approved, will supervise the graphics fabrication of every custom seat.

The most interesting journeys are inevitably those that take us to unexpected places. That’s how premiere designer Thom Hansen found himself at Danny Gray.
Thom’s a multi-talented artist with over 20 years of experience who’s worked in the film special effects industry, on the design team for Harley Davidson’s CVO division, and has had his creations grace the bikes of custom builders like Dave Perewitz, Arlen Ness and Orange County Choppers, as well as those of manufacturers such as Big Dog, Big Bear Choppers, and American Ironhorse.
“I like working one-on-one with customers to learn something about their personalities as well as what they’re looking for in a custom saddle,” Thom says. “The process is really a close collaboration, and I have several customers who I now count as long-term friends.”
The most rewarding part of his job? Seeing the look on the customer’s face when he unveils the finished creation. “I’ve been doing this a long time and have created hundreds of saddle designs. But trust me, seeing happy customers never gets old. I love my job.”
